Checking out Hinoki and the Bird.
They had 5 different oysters so we had one of each. Oysters were not memorable, we’ve had better ones.
But the food after that fit out palette. Mussels with green curry sauce. The minced meat gave it a very Asian flavor.
One of my faves of the night was the the black cod, but it reminded me of burning incense at home when I was a kid.
I could have eaten the fish all by myself. Aiden loved the fish and sweet potato.
Shitake Mushroom – with a little bit of yuzu spread across the mushroom there was a little extra kick. I definitely enjoyed this dish.
Short rib with apple – the short rib alone was just okay, but with the super thinly sliced apple, yummy.
Skate Wing – Benny raved about this.
We went crazy over dessert. Matcha ice cream and 3 different flavors of mochi – black sesame, honey, and miso butterscotch.
